Project Overview
Creation of visual identity and responsive layout for The Opera Stage, the online community for opera singers, agents, and musicians. Users can create their own profiles, browse job offers, and upload job offers.
Brand Research
I designed an innovative and contemporary yet classical brand identity. Designing for 'opera people, I researched competitors and related industries,  artists' websites, and traditional Opera illustrations, posters, and booklets. I created and presented two mood boards to the client (see Appendix 1 below).
Logo design
I created a logo using a weights combination of a sans serif font and a half-tone/spirograph 'o' that evokes a theatre arena seen from above. The graphic 'O' is ideal for the favicon as well.
Brand guidelines
The logo is part of the visual identity, including typography, colour, and stationery.                                           Please click here to see the Brand Guidelines.
Responsive Design
I designed the website based on the existing framework, with the homepage showcasing a search engine, a statement for the main user persona, and a table with membership details. I designed the singer's profile including multiple tabs, side search engines, and filters.
